Grameen Koota, in their pioneering role as the first Mifos deployment has been essential to the success of Mifos. Working with MF Tech, IBM, and Mifos staff, Grameen Koota successfully rolled out MIfos across all 44 branches in October 2007. They are now currently serving 170,000 clients across 75 branches.

With greater control over their technology and the robust capacity to effectively manage their rapid expansion through an online, centralized system, Grameen Koota continues to broaden their outreach and strengthen their position as one of the world's leading MFIs.

GK successfully transitioned to a Non Banking Financial Corporation in March 2008 and have leveraged Mifos to enable their growth, seeking to reach 500,000 clients by 2010 and 1,000,000 clients by 2012.
